Blanket 7

This blanket was made quite a while ago. Pretty sure I donated it last year to a Veteran for Christmas.

Since it was my first time using the Mary Maxim Value Yarn I will give you a few thoughts on the yarn. I actually quite like it for blankets. It would work for any project. It's labelled as worsted weight, but is a light ww yarn. You could use a 4.5 mm or 5 mm hook. It's easy to work with, no splitting, and unravels well. The price is right :) Every day I get emails from Mary Maxim about sales etc. They have a sale right now on this yarn in certain colors, so I purchased enough for 3 more blankets. You do need 5 - 6 skeins to make a decent sized blanket.

This pattern is quite easy. Nice texture, a bit lacy, but still unisex.

If you would like to purchase the pdf - you can find it on Ravelry for $2.50:
