Blanket 8

Do you have a favorite self striping yarn? Caron Jumbo Ombre is one of my favorites, well, it is my favorite self striping yarn. I do have one more brand to try, but so far out of all the self striping yarns, this is affordable, has great colors, easy to crochet, and soft.

The blanket is designed from the inside out. The color was chosen because I was donating it to a Veteran for Christmas. Needed a "manly" color.

The pattern is created using a few different stitch patterns so you have a variety of stitches and won’t get bored. The blanket can be created in any yarn, though that will change the size of the blanket.

If you would like to purchase the pdf - you can find it on Ravelry for $2.50:

  • CLUSTER: 3 dc in the same stitch or space.

  • V-ST: (dc, ch 1, dc) in the same stitch or chain space.

  • Crossed Back Double Crochet Stitch (XBDC): this stitch is worked over 2 sts: skip the next st, 1 dc in the next st, ch 1, now go back to the skipped st and work 1 dc behind the first dc – this creates an “X” or, a Crossed Back Double Crochet Stitch.
