Blanket Challenge 1

MATERIALS

• I LOVE THIS YARN! (100% Acrylic, 355 yards / 325 meters, 7 ounces / 199 grams) Color A (Periwinkle) 2 skeins, Color B (Sugar Plum Stripe, 5 oz skeins) 3 skeins.

HOOKS & SUPPLIES

• Hook US I9 / 5.5 mm

• Scissors

• Yarn Needle

• Measuring Tape

• Stitch Marker (Optional)

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS

• One Size: 35.5” x 40”

INSTRUCTIONS

COLOR A

Row 1: fsc 119 (or any multiple of 6 + 5)

Optional Row 1: ch 120 (or any multiple of 6), sc in the second ch and each ch across. (119 sts)

Row 2: altch2, dc in each st across.

Row 3: ch 1, sc in the first st and each st across.

Row 4: altch2, dc in the next st, 3 dc in the next st, skip 2 sts, dc in the next st, skip 2 sts, * FAN in the next st, skip 2 sts, dc in the next st, skip 2 sts * across until 3 sts remain, 3 dc in the next st, dc in each of the last 2 sts.

Row 5: altch2, dc in the next 2 sts, * skip 2 sts, FAN in the next st, skip 2 sts, dc in the next st * across until 2 sts remain, dc in each of the last 2 sts.

Row 6: altch2, dc in the next st, 3 dc in the next st, skip 2 sts, dc in the next st, skip 2 sts, * FAN in the next st, skip 2 sts, dc in the next st, skip 2 sts * across until 3 sts remain, 3 dc in the next st, dc in each of the last 2 sts.

Row 7: ch 1, sc in the first st and each st across.

Row 8: altch2, dc in each st across.

Row 9: ch 1, sc in the first st and each st across.

Fasten off and join COLOR B.

Rows 10 - 19: Repeat Rows 4 & 5.

Row 20: Repeat Row 4.

Fasten off and join COLOR A.

Row 21: ch 1, sc in the first st and each st across.

Rows 22 - 29: Repeat Rows 2 - 9.

Fasten off and join COLOR B.

Repeat Rows 10 - 29 two more times with the color changes.

Fasten off, weave in ends.
