Blanket Challenge 6

Updated: Apr 12

The pattern is free below. If you use the free pattern please create a blanket to donate to your favorite charity. If you aren't sure where to donate I have another BLOG POST with a list of suggestions I got from some of my followers.

If you would like pdf of the pattern you can print out, it's available on Ravelry for $2.00:

As per usual I used the Bernat Premium yarn for this blanket. I can't remember why I purchased the coral color. It's quite pretty. Thankfully it's the same thickness as the parchment color.

The Bernat Premium has been my favorite yarn for everything, but the thickness between the colors isn't very consistent any more. Some colors are almost bulky weight and others are almost dk weight. That just doesn't work for me. I'm on the hunt for a worsted weight, multi-purpose, yarn that has consistent weight between the colors. It also has to be available in Canada.... lol

Because the coral color is a bit "girly" I thought I would make a blanket that looked a little more feminine. The pattern has a pretty 2 row repeat that can be done in stripes or even a solid color. You could also use variegated or self striping yarn.
