Celebration Cables CAL

Updated: Aug 25

When I started designing in 2018 I never thought I would have 500 published patterns! One of my pattern testers messaged me in the winter to let me know that I was getting close to that 500 milestone and suggested I do something special for the event. Ok..... no pressure LOL

I was really getting addicted to cables during the past winter so thought maybe I could design a blanket using different cable patterns. Deciding on which cables to use is the hardest part. It took some trial and error along with a practise piece.

HOW THE CAL WILL WORK:

The pattern includes 5 sections with different cable patterns, & dividers. So every Sunday I will post a section and divider.

For each section I will post a graphic in the Canoe Mtn Designs Crochet & Friends FB group where you can post your progress photos. For each section I will pick someone who has posted a photo of that section to win a pattern of their choice from my Ravelry store. You will have two weeks to finish the section and post a photo.

At the end of the CAL there will be a post where everyone can show off their finished blanket for a chance to win a prize. Everyone will have until September 30 to finish & post a photo.

If you would like to purchase the pattern and get a head start, it's on Ravelry for $3:

We will start with the bottom border today just to get everyone going :)

Section 1 and the next divider will be posted on Sunday.

Here are some of the photos from the testers: Sallyanne, Lisa, Joann, Helen, Kim & Barbara. So many thanks to these amazing women for helping me with this blanket pattern!

Have never done cables before, so this is a challenge, but i'm loving it so far. Even with the froggy visits. Thank you Audrey!

Could you please add the Row numbers next to your photos, because after row 10, I can't make the written pattern match the photos.
