Can you believe it's the end of the month already?! I'm surprised that the month has gone by so quickly, the weather here in Texas has not be pleasant. Cold wind, some snow, lots of rainy days. Well...... it is winter lol
The plan had been to pick my favorite 10 patterns published each month from different designers. Spread the love :) This month I couldn't do only 10..... there were just so many stunning and fun patterns to choose from. So this month it is the "Top 12" patterns.
As you already know I'm sure.... Click on each photo to find the pattern. If you happen to find a favorite from this list I would love to know which one it is :)
They are listed in no specific order, just as I saw the patterns.
Tethered Pint Cozy by Regina P. Designs
What a fun project! The perfect pattern for when you need something small and fairly quick to make that won't use a lot of yarn. LOVE the stripes and the way she went from one color to another. Just think! Now your hands won't get cold while eating that pint of ice cream (and they can't see what you are eating!).
Crochet Love Heart for a Valentine’s Card by Concrete Gems
Do you make your own Valentine's cards? How cute is this! All you need is a bit of yarn and some paper. I don't know about you.... but I'm a sucker for anything with hearts :)
Imagination Pie/Casserole Carrier by Marsha YarnDoodles
This is so unique and such a useful project! LOVE the texture. What a great way to carry a casserole to the next potluck lunch/dinner. Everyone is going to want one! (the carrier). Love it in a solid color, but I think it would be fun in some bright self striping yarn. What do you think?
Snowy Mittens Mosaic Motif by Elimee Designs
Oh my gosh! I will have to tell you a bit more about this pattern. Will start with the mittens first. How cute is this! My first thought was "mug rug"! It would be so cute in red don't you think? Or any color really. You could make a whole set! It is mosaic crochet but Nichola has amazing instructions and videos to show how to do it.
The mittens are part of a Blanket CAL. It's all about the months in a year. One section for each month. Isn't it a beautiful blanket?!
Twit Twoo Owl by Kate Gerrits
I'm speechless! Ok maybe not lol. This owl blanket is absolutely stunning! How does someone even come up with the idea, then put it together in yarn?! Simply amazing!
Love Birds by Cute Crochet by Sarah B
I admire anyone who can crochet Amigurumi. Add then to use so many colors and pieces?! My goodness. This is the cutest bird I have ever seen :) You really do need to check out Sarah's other animal patterns, so many!
Calliope Washcloth by Green Fox Farms Designs
You can never have too many washcloths or dishcloths! I was drawn to these because they are colorful and "granny squares". I seem to have a "thing" for granny squares lately.
These would make a wonderful housewarming gift or bridal shower gift. You could create them in so many different color options, and use up some smaller bits of yarn :)
Mosaic in Marrakesh by BebaBlanket
I LOVE BLANKETS! Does someone want to make this one for me? lol
Over the last couple of years I have seen the name "BebaBlanket" a few times, but hadn't really taken a good look at her patterns. This one is just amazing! Diaga must have an amazing imagination to create this stunning blanket. All those different designs and colors!
Yule Shawl by K.A.M.E. Crochet
This is a new designer to me. Pretty sure I haven't seen any of her patterns before. Not sure why..... she has beautiful crochet patterns. This shawl is so beautiful with all the different colors. LOVE the pretty edge that is added at the end. You do really need to look at her other patterns. You are going to find a lot of favorites, I promise!
The Wedgewood Fingerless Gloves by Dancing With Yarn
Maria is one of my favorite new designer friends, and she is also Canadian :) This fingerless gloves look classy but still cozy and warm. Love that they have the extra bit for the thumb.
What color would you make your pair?
Petalique Pillow by Outstanding Crochet
Hmmm, seems I'm drawn to mosaic crochet this month lol. Isn't this pillow the prettiest one your have seen? Wouldn't it look amazing in your home, crocheted in your favorite colors?!
Natalia is a new designer to me as well. Oh my gosh! You really need to see her other patterns! Her use of color, texture and pattern is simply amazing. You are not going to be able to pick just one favorite.
Planet Earth Blanket by Crochet Hook Cottage
Speechless again..... Wow..... just Wow. What do you say to this blanket?! How did Jodi figure this out? LOVE the way the countries are done in the stripes, so cool. I wonder how long it took her to crochet this.... will have to ask!
That's it for the month of January. There are many more beautiful patterns that were published this month, these are some of my favorites.
Did you find a new favorite pattern or designer? I would love to know which is your favorite!
