This month I'm going to show you 5 fun crochet tools that I actually own. I use these tools quite a bit. They are some of my favorites :)
Do you have any of these? Click on the photos to find out where to purchase the items.
Oh! Something I should have mentioned in my first "Five Fun Finds" post.... I do not get any money or have any affiliation with any of the companies I'm featuring. Just letting you know what is out there and having fun finding cool crochet related tools.
My all time favorite crochet hooks! These crochet exactly like the clover hooks, but the handles are a bit longer. They just fit better in my hand. Plus they are such pretty colors!
I have 3 sets..... lol
The Wool Jeanie..... bought mine last winter while in the US. At first I wasn't so sure whether it would be a good purchase or not, but since using it I love it! It works great with smaller cake yarns, or skeins that are 3.5 - 5 oz, but nothing larger. The skeins also need to be wound fairly tightly. If they are loose, the skein droops and makes it hard to pull while you are crocheting. Over all I think it's a good purchase. Even brought it along this winter :)
I had been looking for a useful row counter for a while. Bought one of those click ones, but never remember to pick it up at the end of a row and click.... lol
A friend of mine has one of these ring counters, she loved it, showed me how it worked and convinced me that I needed one. She was right! I wear it on my left thumb where I can't miss it, and so far have remembered to change the numbers at the ends of the rows/rounds.
Stanwood winder. LOVE this winder, though I almost wish I had purchased the larger one. I used to have an electric winder, but the gears in it just didn't last. Sometimes hand crank is the way to go. We could call it exercise? lol
Yarn swift! Never thought I would need one of these.... and how does it even work?!
A few years ago I bought some yarn that was in a hank. Hubby and I tried to make it into a cake... but it got very tangled. Thankfully hubby is patient at untangling yarn, I am not. After that I decided that I probably needed a yarn swift. Mine is a knit picks swift. LOVE it! Using the swift and my winder has been amazing & probably saved my marriage lol.
Did you find a tool you might just need to have? What is your favorite hook set, row counter, etc? I would love to know!
Just send me an email :)
