In 2024 the plan was to use some of the yarn that I had in my storage cubbies for way to long. I can't even remember when or why I purchased this yarn! It's been around a long time.

The beanie pattern was created with some Lion Brand Heartland. I used to use this yarn so much for beanies. They have so many pretty colors, the beanies sold very well at craft fairs. The soft yarn and stunning colors, along with a matching pom pom often sold the hat for me. Not quite sure why I haven't used it lately. May have to purchase some more for some other beanie ideas I have.
These colors where the ones I had left (capitol reef, canyonlands, wolftrap & the green that I can't find a name for lol), so the ones I decided to use to create this beanie pattern. It's a top down beanie - everyone's favorite way to crochet a beanie. The pattern is written in 4 sizes.

The cowl was crocheted and designed with some Bernat Super Value yarn I happened to have. I really love this color - it's Curry! Will have to order more and use it for some other projects. The super value is fast becoming one of my "go to" yarns for smaller projects. It's soft, and affordable. Both qualities are important since I donate everything I make.
Some special stitches you will need to know or willing to learn: MC: magic circle, Bean st, and VST.
The cowl was designed quite a while after I made the beanie. I liked the stitch pattern so much decided to use it for another project. Love a button cowl!
