Free Pattern - Scarf 25

MATERIALS

  • Red Heart Super Saver Ombre’ (100% Acrylic, 482 yards / 440 meters, 10 ounces / 283 grams) Color: Violet - 1 skein

  • Other Yarn Options: any worsted weight yarn.


HOOKS & SUPPLIES

  • Hook US H8 / 5.00 mm

  • Scissors

  • Yarn Needle

  • Measuring Tape

  • Stitch Marker (Optional)


GAUGE

  • 14 dc stitches = 4”, first 8 rows = 4”


FINISHED MEASUREMENTS

  • One size: 8.5” x 60”

  • altch2 = alternate chain 2

  • ch = chain

  • dc = double crochet

  • fsc = foundation single crochet

  • * * - Repeat instructions between the asterisks.

  • Turn at the end of each row.

  • The atlch2 at the beginning of the row is the first double crochet.

  • Chain 1 spaces do not count as stitches.

 

INSTRUCTIONS


Row 1: fsc 29

Optional Row 1: ch 30, sc in the 2nd ch from the hook and each ch across. (29 sts)


Row 2: ch 1, sc in each st across.


Row 3: altch2, dc in the next 2 sts, ch 1, skip 1 st, dc in the next 6 sts, (ch 1, skip 1 st, dc in the next st) 5 times, dc in the next 5 sts, ch 1, skip 1 st, dc in the last 3 sts.


Row 4: altch2, dc in the next 2 sts, ch 1, dc in the next 6 sts, ch 1, dc in the next st, ch 1, dc in the next st, PUFF in the next ch sp, dc in the next st, ch 1, dc in the next st, ch 1, dc in the next 6 sts, ch 1, dc in the last 3 sts.


Row 5: altch2, dc in the next 2 sts, ch 1, dc in the next 6 sts, ch 1, (dc in the next st, PUFF in the next ch sp, dc in the next st, ch 1) twice, dc in the next 6 sts, ch 1, dc in the last 3 sts.


Row 6: altch2, dc in the next 2 sts, ch 1, dc in the next 6 sts, ch 1, dc in the next st, ch 1, skip 1 st, dc in the next st, PUFF in the next ch sp, dc in the next st, ch 1, skip 1 st, dc in the next st, ch 1, dc in the next 6 sts, ch 1, dc in the last 3 sts.


Row 7: altch2, dc in the next 2 sts, ch 1, dc in the next 6 sts, ch 1, dc in the next st, ch 1, dc in the next st, ch 1, skip 1 st, dc in the next st, ch 1, dc in the next st, ch 1, dc in the next 6 sts, ch 1, dc in the last 3 sts.


Repeat rows 4 - 7 until desired length.


2nd last Row: ch 1, sc in the first 3 sts, sc in the next ch sp, sc in the next 6 sts, (sc in the next ch sp, sc in the next st) 5 times, sc in the next 5 sts, sc in the next ch sp, sc in the last 3 sts.


Last Row: ch 1, sc in each st across.


Fasten off, weave in ends.
