Scarf Challenge 17

MATERIALS

  • Caron One Pound (100% Acrylic, 812 yards / 742 meters, 16 ounces / 453.6 grams) 350 - 400 yds

  • Optional Yarn: any #4 worsted weight yarn.


HOOKS & SUPPLIES

  • Hook US H8 / 5.00 mm

  • Scissors

  • Yarn Needle

  • Measuring Tape

  • Stitch Marker (Optional)

  • 7” x 79”


PATTERN KEY (US Terms)

  • altch2 = alternate chain 2

  • ch = chain

  • CL FAN = cluster fan

  • fsc = foundation single crochet

  • sc = single crochet

Row 1: fsc 23 (or any multiple of 10 + 3)

Optional Row 1: ch 24 (or any multiple of 10 + 4), sc in the 2nd ch and each ch across. (23 sts)


Row 2: altch2, dc in the next 3 sts, skip 2 sts, CL FAN in the next st, skip 2 sts, dc in the next 5 sts, skip 2 sts, CL FAN in the next st, skip 2 sts, dc in the last 4 sts.


Row 3: altch2, dc in the next 3 sts, ch 2, skip 1 st, sc in the next ch sp, ch 2, skip 1 st, sc in the next ch sp, ch 2, skip 1 st, dc in the next 5 sts, ch 2, skip 1 st, sc in the next ch sp, ch 2, skip 1 st, sc in the next ch sp, ch 2, skip 1 st, dc in the last 4 sts.


Row 4: altch2, dc in the next 3 sts, skip 1 st, CL FAN in the next ch sp, skip 1 st, dc in the next 5 sts, skip 1 st, CL FAN in the next ch sp, skip 1 st, dc in the last 4 sts.


Row 5: Repeat Row 3.

Row 16: altch2, dc in the next 8 sts, skip 1 st, CL FAN in the next ch sp, skip 1 st, dc in the next 9 sts.


Row 17: Repeat Row 15.


Repeat Rows 10 - 17 until desired length.


Second to Last Row: altch2, dc in the next 8 sts, dc in the next ch sp, skip 1 st, 3 dc in the next ch sp, skip 1 st, dc in the next ch sp, dc in the last 9 sts. (23 sts)


Last Row: ch 1, sc in the first st and each st across.


Fasten off, weave in ends.
