Any brand/weight yarn you would like. Your width will change depending on the yarn you use.
For this pattern I used 2 strands of dk weight.

Turn at the end of each row.
Ch sps do not count as sts.
INSTRUCTIONS
Row 1: fsc 24 (or any multiple of 12). (24 sts)
Optional Row 1: chain 25 (or any multiple of 12 + 1), sc in the 2nd ch from the hook and each ch across. (24 sts)
Row 2: (altch2, dc) in the first st, dc in the next 4 sts, skip 2 sts, dc in the next 5 sts, ch 2, dc in the next 5 sts, skip 2 sts, dc in the next 4 sts, 2 dc in the last st.
Row 3: (altch2, dc) in the first st, dc in the next 4 sts, skip 2 sts, dc in the next 4 sts, V-ST in the next ch sp, dc in the next 4 sts, skip 2 sts, dc in the next 4 sts, 2 dc in the last st.
Repeat Row 3 until desired length.
Last Row: ch 1, sc in the first st and each st across, placing 2 sc in the center ch 2 sp.
Fasten off and weave ends.
