How many crochet patterns do you look at in a month? 10? 100? 1000? More?!
As a rule I don't look at other designers patterns. Why? I don't want an idea I saw somewhere else to get into my head, forget that I saw it, then design something similar. I do look at other patterns in a few designer groups I'm in when we promote each other or give each other's patterns some love.
I thought it might be fun for you to see some of my favorite patterns from these other designers. So I picked 10 of my favorites from the patterns that were all published this month. Maybe you will also find a favorite pattern or new favorite designer :)
They are listed in no specific order, just as I saw the patterns. Click on the photo to find the pattern.

Cabled Diamond Blanket by Crafting Friends Designs
LOVE blankets! Especially blankets with lots of texture :) When I saw this photo I knew this would be part of my Top 10! Yes - it will use a lot of yarn because of the bobbles, but so worth it.
Crochet Angel Pattern by Maggie
I wasn't going to include Christmas patterns, but this was just too cute not to mention! I love angels at Christmas but never really found a pattern that spoke to me, this one does! The angel is adorable in any color!
Amala Headband by Exquisite Crochet UK
Oh my gosh! Cables have become an addiction with me. This headband is stunning! Yes it's tunisian crochet.... might have to learn how to do that. That pattern does say it's an easy beginner friendly pattern :)
Dragon Tail Skinny Scarf by Make It Crochet
Scarves are another addiction of mine. They are easy to donate and fun to make. This one spoke to me because of the design and colors. Love the fun border accent Kim added to the scarf. According to the pattern it only takes 4 hours to make! Bonus!
Crochet Book Cover by Concrete Gems
LOVE this book cover! The first thing that drew me to this pattern was the color, then the snowflakes :) Such a pretty design.
Sugar Plum Delight Round Hot Pad by Kristen Holloway Designs
Oh My Gosh! This hot pad is absolutely stunning! It would make the perfect housewarming gift, Christmas gift, or "just because" gift. You could use so many color combinations. To be honest.... not sure I would want to use it, maybe just have it lying around looking pretty :)
Kennedy Drink Cozies by Marsha Yarndoodles
Aren't these just the greatest? You can never have too many drink cozies. Marsha has created a few different styles, all using the same stitch pattern. They will fit any bottle or can you have.
Yes I know.... I said no Christmas patterns, but the next two are also too cute not to add to the list.
Christmas Button Tree by Regina P Designs
How cute is this! I love anything with buttons :) This would be a great addition to anyone's Christmas decor. You could make 3-4 and have them set up in different places or group them together. Make each a different color with different buttons!
The Wedgewood Christmas Ornament by The Dancing Yarn
Always loved round Christmas ornaments. And a crocheted one is even prettier :) This is the pattern Maria published this month, but you really need to go see her other crochet ornament patterns, all are beautiful! They would make your tree look very festive and classy :)
Trellis 2 Coaster by Rashmi Binu
Love coasters! Can never have too many :) These have a great texture that would also look amazing in some variegated or self striping yarn. The possibilities are endless!
Rashmi has many beautiful coaster patterns in her store, be sure to check them out!
That's it for the month of December. There are many more beautiful patterns that were published this month, these are some of my favorites.
Did you find a new favorite pattern or designer?
I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year!
