Have you used this yarn?
No? You really should try it or at least take a look at all the stunning colors.

There are 2 different Yarnsmiths yarns in the photo. They are both aran weight. But today we will talk about the FREESPIRIT yarn.
YARNSMITHS Freespirit Aran (100 % Acrylic, 202 yards / 185 meters, 3.5 ounces / 100 grams)
LOVE this yarn! I ordered it because of the colors lol. Isn't that how it usually starts? You look online and see someone has created a crochet item in stunning colors, you go to their website/store to find out what the yarn is, then search where to buy it.
I also get emails from The Woolwarehouse on a regular basis with different deals on yarn or different patterns etc. Sometimes I'm tempted enough to purchase some of the yarn in the email. I'm pretty sure that is how I found out about this yarn. It was my first purchase of Yarnsmiths yarn, but not my last.
The yarn was a bit thicker than the aran weight yarn I have used in the past, almost worsted weight yarn. It's lovely to crochet with, no splitting, easy to unravel, nice and soft. The color is stunning! This yarn could be used for so many projects: hats, scarves, sweater, fingerless gloves, ear warmer etc.
I had enough yarn to make a shawl. Aren't the colors pretty?!
This shawl is a rectangle created in long rows. But because the yarn is a bit thicker & the pattern is an easy row repeat it didn't take very long to crochet. It will make a lovely donation to the hospice.
If you are looking for a beautiful soft yarn to make a special gift for someone special, even your self (yes you are special too!), I would highly recommend any Yarnsmiths Yarn.
A while back I published a beanie pattern using some Yarnsmiths chunky yarn.
You can find the yarn review HERE.
The shawl pattern has been published! It's 40% off from March 25 - 27, only those 3 days. No coupon code needed, just add the pattern to your cart on Ravelry and the price will be adjusted.
If you are in the CMD Pattern Club - check the FB page for the coupon code to purchase this shawl pattern for $2.
If by chance you have used this yarn in the past, or purchase it in the future, I would love to see what you have created with it!
Just post your photo in the Canoe Mtn Designs Crochet & Friends FB group!
